FOR SALE: 1976 Datsun 100a 988cc Manual MOT till march 2008 and tax until end of August this year. Its got approx.38k miles on the clock, full service history (including the original bill of sale). It was ziebarted (rust proofed) from new, and therefore has no rust on the archs, sills, etc. The interior is also pretty immaculate. Since I bought the car I’ve added the 13” wolfrace alloys and tyres, chrome door mirrors, an Astrali steering wheel, fitted a new exhaust back box, replaced all the cooling system hoses, plus a few other bits and pieces. I’ve got some other spare parts all of which will come with the car, including quite a rare Janspeed inlet manifold (which will allow you to run twin su carbs) which I never got round to fitting. There’s also the original wheels and steering wheel available to go with the car if wanted. Now on EbaySome more pics taken at/on the way to CaRS last year...

You might want to poach it on the Datsun owners club site, but I think you're going to be lucky to sell it for that money. If you do I'll eat my pet bat.

Does seem strong money but then it's a gorgeous car in a gorgeous and very 70s colour with fantastic wheels! Yes, I want it...

Always fancied one of those, one of my mates had a white one many moons ago and it fell to bits with rust from what I remember.
A bit of lowering at the front would suit the look of the car I think as well.

There's a small roadside garage 15 miles west of Aberdeen on the A944. Outside, he has always got a couple of Beetles but he's had a Datsun 100A outside for the past few months. It looks complete and seems solid enough with very little rust showing (although it might be a different story underneath). I'll be heading out that way soon so I'll take a few pics. I don't know if it's for sale but I can always ask. Ian

not when your legs are as long as mine are! I love the datsun (and i'll be sorry to see it go - i've put quite a bit of effort into it over the past year), but i just needed a bit of comfort and bhp under the right foot.

I sympathise totally - my legs go numb after an hour of driving mine, but I can still justify suffering for the car!
The 100A is a great little car around town, easy to park, sips petrol, cheap insurance, ultra reliable, mechanical bits easily available, tuneable, quite lively to drive and looks really cool, its just not designed for long distance speeding.
There. I've done my bit to try and get this lovely little car a good home. Its hard to find them in this condition too.

This is why i hate and love this forum!!!!I want that soooooo badly! If only i can sell the GT6 now for the cash
Exactly what do you mean by "when your legs are as long as mine"? I'm 6' 2" and i've managed to squeeze myself into a Triumph GT6 for the last year and more

Totally agree with all of that. Especially the economy of the car. I've never properly calculated, but it must do at least 50mpg.
