Fresh off the boat/plane we have a batch of SERIOUSLY cool magazines/books in from J-land! [red]ALL SOLD![/red]
It's taken them a while to get here, but they were worth the wait! The good news is that these ones are all for sale.
First up is this groovy 70's J-car encyclopedia (left of pic): [red]SOLD![/red]
It's perfect bound with 148 pages and although it's a softback it's definitely more book than magazine. As far as I can tell it's got EVERY Japanese car of the 70's included and although the text is Japanese the model name and code are clear, as are the engine sizes/dimensions (see picture). The pictures are from the Car Graphic files and there's an index of all the models included inside (ask me if your car is there!). This one is £12 including UK postage.
Next in line is カスタムCAR (MARCH 2007 Issue!!!) - The one with the lady on the cover :[red]SOLD![/red]
It's perfect bound again with 246 pages. This one is more magazine like - similar in feel to a current Fast Car/Max Power mag. Content-wise, it's a mix of new and old stuff - there's a Hot Rod on the cover, but equally there's quite a few late-model HiAces in there too...it's more a roundup of Japanese (non-drift) car culture. It's also full of weblinks that will keep you occupied for hours! £11 will see this one in an envelope and heading your direction.
Have I saved the best 'til last? Well, that's for you to decide! Lightning Magazine is actually a series of magazines covering all sorts of things - I've seen shoe issues, motorbike issues and (I think) Hi-Fi issues - all super-cool design-oriented stuff. There's been four Vintage Auto specials, and I've managed to find three of them so far! Here they are:
Vol.23 (VINTAGE AUTO 1) - with the 240Z on the cover:[red]SOLD![/red]
Vol.26 (VINTAGE AUTO 2) - with the Skyline on the cover: [red]SOLD![/red]
Vol.31 (VINTAGE AUTO 4) - with the 510 on the cover:[red]SOLD![/red]
All of the Lightning mags are perfect bound, have 128 colour pages and are full to the brim of awesome cars - including some great models and at least two of those great drawings (like that BTTF MR2!). How much would it cost you to prise one of these beauties from my grasp? £14 (inc. UK postyness) and it's yours, Guv.
Any questions? Ask away.
