My Dad's owned this for about 16 yrs, was laid up and taken off the road about 3 yrs ago, but we've recently moved house and need it moved really as now a lack of space. We got it running recently although have by-passed a fuel relay/fuse, and given it a quick clean up but really don't have the time and space to sort it out as we'd like, and get it back on the road. It's an excellent base for a project, T5 etc, hasn't much rust comparibly etc, and is in overall pretty good condition for the age etc. A few pics;    Not really sure what it's worth but open to offers and if anyone's interested please let us know either by PM or at b7bpt@hotmail.com. It's a 4spd with OD, 140k ish miles iirc.
I'm basically between Herts and Essex, Sawbridgeworth, car is in Perry Green though atm.

PM replied. This is the 2.3 8v GLT model, RWD, around 150bhp iirc, with injection, full leather and the other usual GLT extras. |

There is a small amount of rust around the rear arches, particularly in the spare wheel well areas on both sides, where all 240's seem to go. This is cosmetic only, and structurally the car is sound.
It starts and runs beautifully with the fuel pump relay fuse jumped, probably just needs the fuse holder cleaning, which we'll have a go at in the meantime.
Other than that the car is in great condition for the age, has obviously been sitting for a few years so the brakes will need a clean up, otherwise there's no reason we beilieve it'd take much more to be road worthy again.

TBH, look around and you'll find MOT'd 240's in as good nick for £200, you'll struggle to get anything over £100 for it.
