to some it up.
this car weighs 900kgs approx and is the lightest of the crx family, its the model used by all the 'big boys' on the crx scene who are serious about 1/4 mile/track days, due to its light weight.
more details here-
www.cr-x.org/home/jdmspecs.html
the engine is the twin carb d15b available only in japan.
it is a sportier version of the 1.4 twin carb engine found in the civic gl, hence the civic boys will cut your hand off for the cam in these engines, and you can really feel it coming 'on cam' twice when you floor it, once at 3300rpm then again at 5000rpm. redline is at 7000rpm.
the book figure for these cars is 105bhp, this car was r.r.'ed at 103bhp last year and i have the print out to prove it. this was before the mani/decat/full system tho, and i estimate a conservative figure of approx 110bhp, it certainly feels a good bit more powerful since the mods. bob managed a 8.4 second 0-60 using a g-meter before the mods too.
enter these figures in here for an approximation of the cars performance-
www.letstorquebhp.com/calculator.asp
generally, the car is in great condition for its age, and the build quality is streets ahead of my 2005 jazz, it feels really solid for such a light car.
any mods are very subtle and ive concentrated on braking/handling.
of course i would not describe the car as mint or concourse, but its really pretty nice for its age and attracts compliments wherever it goes.
the car never attracts attention from the police, and the exhaust is just nice, not too loud.
i'm sure a few forum members could vouch for the car.
i've tried to be honest about the car and pointed out any bad points, only selling due to the fact i fancy a change, this car is 10 times better than most uk crxs.
OFFERS IN REGION OF £1600
forgot to add, car has-
electric windows
electric mirrors
BRAND NEW boot struts which i sourced from california
twin bulb headlights
all electrics work perfectly including the rear demister, all dash lights work perfectly, the windows glide up and down faultlessly.
the car gets around 420-430 kms per tank of fuel (around £32)
which equals over 260 miles
ALWAYS run on super unleaded since ive owned it.
cheers g.
