Reluctantly considering sale of my beloved Starlet as we may have need for an estate soon and I'm struggling to spare the time and money my cars deserve. So it's a 5dr. So what? Has just the same potential as the 3dr models, and it already has the 3K engine, 5-speed 'box and 3.9 diff IIRC. Tax and test until January 2007, lots of history with only two previous owners, 57k miles. Due a service soon, if it sells after that price will be adjusted accordingly (ie cheaper now!). To be sold on standard steel wheels, period Compomtive TF alloys with new tyres available by negotiation. It's not perfect, but if you PM me your number I'll be happy to have chat about it. These things drive great with nice steering rack and RWD, and as it stands I currently get 37mpg (hoping for more after service). Ideal first retro car, or sleeper with 5K Lite-Ace engine or 4AGE..... Won't be cheapy-cheap as I'm aware of the market values these things have, but if I can get a hassle-free sale here before entering the murky waters of eBay then so much the better. See it this Sunday at the Japanese Nostalgia Weekend at Billing.

Dependent on available cash and space at the time, I'd be interested!

Damn, I was hoping you wouldn't say that!
I'll see if I can drum up some interest in the Fiesta then...and consult Mrs JS!

Piccy of it in latest guise with spangly gold-painted alloys (photo courtesy of TheDoctor). Got one or two interesting options open to me for my required estate, so this will have to be moved on fairly soon (probably the dreaded eBay).

Get it on the bay - some Guiness-slurper will probably give you £3.4m
Shame it's not a 3-door, they are now fetching £8.74bn

eBay day draws closer, unless someone here snaps it up first. Some recent pic's.... The history that comes with it, including original order form, lots of bills, and MoTs since 1987. Would look to p/x or swap against an interesting larger estate car - Carlton, Merc, Mazda 929, Cressida etc, the usual culprits, but must be in useable condition, no projects please! Remember this isn't your average hatchback shopping-mobile! It's RWD, has 5-speed 'box, steering rack and drives great. Really would make an ideal first retro car for somebody, cheap tax and economical too.

cheers for pm and would happily pay that price but unfortuantely circumstances have changed and bought something else.... that shape kp is the next most desirable after the bug eye as the wing mirrors positions can be plated over and fender ones mounted.

Looks like there might be an interesting swap on the cards, watch this space...... For reasons beyond my control swap's off, so it's still available. If anyone I've previously discussed it with via PM still wants to get in touch please contact me Goldenwonder, you know this would be a good daily to replace your Escort ;D

So it didn't sell, though the high bidder visited tonight and is thinking about it. He's the lad who drives the green and black Cefiro in the drifting events.
Got someone else interested locally, a very pleasant chap who used to race Starlets as stock cars and is now into classics but he needs to shift a BMW first.
Anyone on here interested, at all?
