Hi everyone, sadly I've got to ditch the Laurel because of my 100 mile daily drive, I can't afford the petrol and I don't want to increase the 49800 genuine miles on the clock. I'm looking for £900 for the old girl because it's in great condition - the arches have small patches of surface rust but that's it for tin worm. All the retro accessories that it's peppered with work like a charm too. It's a great car and it's an I've got to sell up but as I say I'm getting savaged by the fuel bill (2.4 straight six...). Ideally I would p/x it with a Datsun 100A (mmmm, 50mpg) and it would mean I could get stuck in with project W123 ;D. Let me know if you're interested, Matt. Oh, and here she is -

So tempted to offer you my Starlet as p/ex.
Doubt you'd get 50mpg out of a Cherry, 30-35 more likely, although later ones with E-series engines and long gearing are pretty good on fuel.

So tempted to offer you my Starlet as p/ex. Me too! Streetrules, WTF did you buy it for if you are driving 500 miles a week? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that it is gonna be one thirsty mofo.

I needed an old car fast and it fitted the bill for a temporary fix! I can't p/x anymore though so sadly it's cash money. It'll be going on ebay soon but if any of you guys are inerested then I would prefer to see it go to a board member!
I was thinking of LPG but I've stumbled across a lovely Cherry coupe on the original body with 33k on the clock. Bouns! Hopefully to have some subtle suspension mods, new shoes and a tidy up. Although I can't really get distracted from project w123! As for moving closer to work...well...I work in Peterborough, nuff said!

Didn't this happen recently with an s12? The guy who resurrected it got slated, and then the OP actually replied to say it was still available?
