Nooooo i hear you cry , well hear me out and then tell me if I'm mad. Ive put it up with a reserve so it wont necessarily sell. As it stands the car is well developed for the set up its running and i think its a shame to put the obvious big engine in it as its so rare to have a tuned 1256 I cant be doing with a stagnent project but feel without a major change this car has,for me, reached its peak of development and i want so many other cars (that your fault RR) and am iching for a new project If the car does not sell i wont be dissapointed, you all know how much ive put into this car and how much i love it. I will give the car a make over and bring it back again with a twist! If any RR'ers are interested PM me and see if we could sort something out - id love it to go to one of you guys ;D cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4606177342

I am after a chevette/kadett at the minute but I am thinking of along the lines of yours but a bit different and I would feel guilty about butchering yours to suit my plans In some ways I think it would be better if it left the forum as it would be a real shame to see it changed from how it is now. Best of look with the auction. And waiting in anticipation for your next ride ;D

Yeah thats one of the best looking chevettes i have seen. Good luck with the sale, I don't think it would be bad if it went to another RRer, better that than the wrong hands. fingers crossed.
Edit: Welcome Lewis BTW

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

The guy whos winning it now (neil8166) is going to strip it and cut it up (he wants it lengthened as per works tarmac cars) and just use the shell as a spare for his rally car!!!!!!

Might be worth reading the endurance rally regs on Chevettes.com Rob As I have a funny Idea this is spot on for that, if so, it opens up your market quite considerably ;D

I know for the lombard revival endurance rally engine mods are not allowed, this includes exhaust manifolds and carbs. Suspension must use standard mounting points so turrets are a no go . Also it must keep standard interior apart from front seats and steering wheel I am not sure on the endurance rally championship but I believe that they are following the same basic regs as the Lombard so that the same cars can enter.
