For years I have thought that bronze/gold cars are the spawn of satan and should be painted at the first available opportunity... its an opinion.
This evening I had to go and value an Imp, well a Singer Chamois Coupe. The chap flung open the garage door to reveal one of the best looking cars I have ever seen... its a 1967 Singer Chamois coupe, sat on Spax & Monte springs, with 13in Weller wheels. But its been painted in Volvo Pearlescent Saffron.
Oh my gawd... what a beautiful colour.
Its so beautiful, I have changed my opinion as to what colour to paint my first Stiletto - it was originally metallic burnt orange but currently its metallic purple.
Sadly I didn't have my digi cam with me.. otherwise I'd up some pics for y'all.
Amazing how opinions can (and should) be changed every so often!! ;D

Is this the car I am thinking of? I take it is better than the pics he brought along? Should have given us a yell, I might have learnt something for once in my life ;D When my Coupe is due for a respray in a couple of years I have a colour picked out. Just need to find out what it is

I have a brown/bronze metallic Imp at the moment, and somedays I almost like it, but to be honest I'm not really fond of the colour and it's terribly applied anyway, the last owner painted it really badly, and now it's all orangle peeling and peeling off in places, besides he didn't even paint the interior or engine bay and under the bonnet. It'll look better in red with a white roof/wheels/rollcage.

I've seen a lot of cars dressed as Fraser replicas, and it does look nice, but it's been done a bit really hasn't it? Having said that as I said they do look good like that, especially with Revolution wheels on.

Phantom mist looks cool when its shiny... pants when its flat. I quite like it in a 70s tastic way... I also love this car... I snapped it at the Blenheim Palace ARCC event in 2000 - no idea who owns it but its lovely!! ;D So, I'd put it back to the right colour... it rools! ;D

That Volvo saffron pearl is lovely. I almost fancy doing my roof in that.

I like the bullet mirrors, that's exactly where mine are on my Imp, and before anyone asks why they're so far down the bonnet like the old 60s wing mirrors, (only not on the wings because an Imp bonnet hangs down over the wings and meets them at the sides not on the top as you can see) if you put bullets on the door of an Imp in the normal modern style then you can't see a bloody thing!
