any Weber suitable to fit a mk2 golf ? mate of mine from Long Eaton after one. Hmmm.... the DGAV is from a 1600 CVH - not sure if it's fit a Golf or not. The DATR is a twin choke jobbie from a Fiat X1/9 1.5. Not sure what the Golf boys fit to their engines though!

That Stromberg looks familiar Any ideas on price? Right, I haven't seen the old Stromberg for a while - it's somewhere in the garage but I don't know where! If I can dig it out it's yours for £20 if you want it. On the other hand if you're prepared to wait a while you can have a Stromberg carb with attached 2.0 Merc engine for not a lot more! Does this mean you're gonna keep the W115?! Hope so! ;D ;D

guz - I asked my brother about the DGAV and he's sold it . The DATR off the Fiat looks a useful carb - jetted for a 1500, it's a twin 34 choke jobby. Part of the auto-choke is broken so it'd need a new part (or a manual choke conversion) but otherwise it seems fine. £20 if ya want it mate CoolMerc - Glad you're keepin the Merc! I have no trim bits - I'm looking for a NS front trim strip myself as mine got bent up in the crash! Have you tried Mercman in Southampton? They do mail order and have most parts in stock. 02380 784444
