Anyone know much about mk3 supras 85-92. Ive got the chance of 3 project cars for cheap all manual gearboxes two turbos and one NA.
Just wondering if anyone knows how well they handle and I am thinking of one for road use and one for track days and drifting.
Only I don't think I ever seen anyone under 50 driving one or anyone trying to get one sideways. But I wouldnt have thought 240bhp in a rwd with LSD should be too much of a problem ;D any info greatly appreciated

Hello, welcome to retro rides! I don't know much about Supras other than I really like them! ;D And the seats are some of the most comfortable I've ever sat in... I liked them so much I fitted a pair of leather ones in my Merc! I'm sure there'll be someone here that knows about them! 240bhp.... !

THere was a buyers guide in a recent issue of Practical Performance Car magazine. Not sure which issue but can't have been that long ago... I can dig it out if you're interested?

they sideways well ;D the non asp engine has some potential, but no where near as much as the turbo lumps they have serious tuning potential in excess of 600 bhp... a mate of mine had one a few years ago great car, but it ate rear tyres, wonder why

I'm dressed in black again until someone invents a darker colour.

If I buy the three then I should have a spare turbo engine as one car will be a breaker

Ive heard the naturally aspirated are better for drifting as they have a lower ratio LSD 4.3 compared with 3.7 and the turbo has a bit too much lag to hold a slide for long if your on and off the throttle a lot. But the turbo would be more fun on the track.
If I get them I will mot them both and see which gives a bigger grin I reckon ;D ;D ;D :-B
