A couple of other retro cars in the first shot.
And I wouldn't trust my car repair to a garage that can't spell repairs. I hope they save the Hunter though.

Another one I worked on a few years ago:
Although I am an arch Jag nut, I didn't like this at all, especially on the narrow roads around the workshop. Fast but, like everything with turbocharging, poor throttle response.
Parked near Tesco Highwoods, Colchester; an interesting shopping car:
Coombs 3.8 Mk2 Jag, outside a pub one Summer evening:
Track demonstrator Bentley being moved on to the next dealership in line:

If something is spelt incorrectly on a menu for example, she ALWAYS brings it up to the staff & has been known to change it on some of the blackboards you see for specials.

I really struggle to ignore mistakes like that as well. In a way I am disappointed that one of the pubs I frequent has stopped doing food, because I could always annoy them by pointing out one mistake on the chalkboard menu, but only because I know them - I probably don't do it in other places, I just seethe internally. I try with apostrophes as well, but I'm not always certain of the rules.

The owner is Iranian, English is almost certainly his 2nd or 3rd language. To be honest, I'd not even noticed and I'm usually a stickler for it. Oh, I wonder if that explains the Hunters then - weren't they sold in Iran as the Peykan or similar? The thing is, he's probably paid a sign maker to do that sign for him, so it annoys me a bit more that the sign maker hasn't phoned him up and told him there's a problem and offered to fix it. I sometimes wonder if sign makers have two rates - one to just do the sign as presented, and another to check for dodgy spelling*. There's one near me that has a glaring error on it, but I won't say what it is in case the business owner is on here and wonders why I've never mentioned it to him. ( * I know online printers have this - we used to get newsletters printed by an online print company and there was a tick-box which added money and time on if we wanted it proof-reading. )

If you want any bits I can pop down and speak to him, he has loads of NOS stuff too. He's on instagram as leeds.hunter.spares and hillman.hunter.parts.uk , he's always posting photos of his stock.
