I think Mr MrBounce's one would be slightly smaller even Yes - it is!! Weighs about the same as a crisp packet too Mine's a Mk1, which was subsequently named the "Bronze" on the introduction of the Gold which was pictured. A rough guide is Bronze = Mini based, whereas Gold = Metro based. Confusingly, before the Gold was introduced, what was the Bronze (the Mini based one) could be ordered from the factory is 3 separate ways: Full kit was a Bronze, Half kit (i.e. partially built) was a Silver, and factory built was a Gold. Go figure. Not perplexing at all...

Couple of spots on the way home from town last weekend having dropped off the most hideous of all courtesy cars, a Vauxhall Insomnia... Bluebird lurking in a bodyshop yard. And a Transit with modifications in the style of a US Truck. Been trying to photograph this for a while now, but I have only ever seen it when I've been driving. It's certainly unusual, and whilst it may not be to everyone's tastes, I quite like what the creator's done. You certainly won't lose it in a car park!!

When I used to spend my days driving around the country, I'd frequently see a transit in black the same as mrbounce shows, in black with a matching box trailer and graphics Again since I was driving, no pics. Anyone else seen it? Seems to get around a bit

Been driving by this for years, stopped last night to talk to the guy. Doesn’t get much love, he said a couple times during the summer they had it out but they have a 73 Dodge Charger and a Corvair convertible so they usually drive them. That looks spectacular Sent you a message

My teenage bravado came back with "I'll turn it into a Midas" was met with a knowing laugh! Turned out the mini was in pretty good shape, so it went no further

This one is a car I spotted earlier this year at an antiques fair I recognised the reg as it was my father in laws car that he sold around 18 years ago. It is an 850 T5 CD auto. Bought low mileage from main dealer and cherished by my father in law, I went and spoke to the current owner who found the car at the back of a garage in a state of neglect and turning green. He told me in very colourful language that he, ahem, flippin’ loves it and he will never get rid of it and it, er, flippin’ goes well and yeh, flippin’ love it. He also owns a rolls and a Bentley but this is his go to car and prefers it over the others. My wife forwarded the picture to her dad to clarify if it was his old car. He said yeh, I flippin’ loved that car.
