Spotted this in Tescos carpark yesterday. This was my young teenage dream car. I bought a manky old City E from my school librarian when I was about 13/14. I used to dream of fitting the Sports Pack kit, 13" wheels and getting it repainted in Tahiti blue. It was my dream mini. The webasto roof would have been great. I had a friend with a Tahiti blue SPI with webasto roof and it was fantastic. Now its all about 10" wheels and it looking like something straight out of the 60's, which is exactly what I now have in the garage. Fantastic spot.

As a complete opposite to the post above, I saw this little baby Buick cruiser on my lunchtime walk. 7.5 litres. Oof. Utterly impractical as a daily, but oh lordy I want it...

That XR2 looks like it is on left hand lock, or the wheel isn't in the center of the wheel arch

The last of the mini's looked fantastic with those arches and wheels. As a kid I was obsessed with mini's and it was the first car I ever drove. When the wheels changed to 12 with those awful arches I was so offended I wanted to write a letter to Rover demanding they put it back to 10 inch!

Two spots - One is a seriously customised Anglia with e-type lights(!) that was her car during the 70's - 2.0 pinto, metalflake paint, flared arches. Sold for 5 quid after a row with her boyfriend of the time who built it. I have no idea what that is under the tarp..... Car under the sheet is a 1960 Mk2 Ford Consul, low line, the models produced after 1959 were the Low line the CROWN of the roof was altered so the car looked lower and sleeker, a factory styling mod, Ford's interpretation of a roof chop. Apparently the windscreens are different between the highline and low line cars.

Saw this locally, and had to google it. Anyone know it without looking up? It's a Crossley made in the USA post WWII economy car, the early cars had an engine block made out of welded sheet steel, I don't know how they fared but was replaced by a conventional cast iro engine block.

There's lots of minor in that, but it looks pretty sweet!
Probably had enough grill left over for another one, too!

It has hints of Morris Minor because that's what it is, with a roof chop and some nicely thought out modifications.

Actually, now you mention it that top does look a bit removable-hard-top at the rear which makes it just a smidge more interesting than it already is.
