At my local Aldi on monday evening. I asked the owner what year it was,1986 apparently. It's a Pontiac Fiero, made to look like a (C5) Corvette. It actually sounded ok,it had the 2.8 V6,through dual custom pipes, exiting at the back. To be honest,i thought it was an example of really bad taste, but ofcourse i didn't tell him that. I'm not that kinda guy. Everybody (enthusiasts at least) is proud of their car,and you gotta give it to him to go the extra mile!!

To be honest,i thought it was an example of really bad taste, but ofcourse i didn't tell him that. Hmmmm, I dunno man. I can see a few patches of car still visible between all the stuff he's stuck on. I think he's flaked out on the project. Surely it wouldn't take much more effort to stick some more stuff on it to fill in all those gaps. It's just lazy. Also, to be really honest... I could stare at that car for two hours and never guess it's meant to be a C5 Corvette.

Likewise, I don't really see the Corvette thing. What I do see is an homage to early 2000s racing game cars and that's pretty neat.

I spotted this lovely 1984/5 Ford Transit camper / day van on a camp site near Monmouth this week... I’m assuming it’s been restored recently rather than original condition as it looked brand new on the outside.

That Nova is mega, except the door roundel makes it look like the guy is wearing a lampshade as a helmet...

Couple of spots from me today. One is retro but I did only snap it from a distance. The other is not retro but I don't care. It's parked just round the corner and I suspect it might belong to the bloke who owns an absolutely mint Lotus Omega. This is right outside his house. And this was clipping along the seafront. Owner wore a matching orange MAXI teeshirt.

He didn't look like a stance freak to be honest. Personally I think he needs the back let down rather than front lifted up though. It looks like he's breaking hard in the pics.
He wasn't.
Also, the bonnet was flapping freely as he trundle along. But I loved it all the same. I've always loved Maxis.

'80 s1 924 turbo..hibernating '80 golf gli cabriolet...doing impression of a skip '97 pug 106 commuter...continuing cheapness making me smile!
firm believer in the k.i.s.s and f.i.s.h principles.

Always loved maxis too, dragged up sticking to the back seat of one. Was very glad dad was bmc rather than Ford when I saw the legroom in the back of a cortina !
