regardless of weather il be having a look at the front pads on the merc,peeling some naff stickers out of the 411 and staring at the gaping hole where the bus engine should be. ;D

I'll be attempting to straighten out my Merc grille after my bump a while back  . And if it isn't too brass monkeys out there, straightening the rest of the bodywork too:-/. Give me an engine to muck about with any day - I hate bodywork  . |

I'll be stripping the interior out of my Mk 1 Estelle to fit my newly aquirred roll cage...then i might swap engines and fit the 'SPORT' engine i've just got.
Will also take my Rapid out for another run after being laid up for a couple of months.

Well, today I shall be mostly... Trying to work out how the frig I'm gonna get my new acquisition home, seeing as it is not taxed or tested. Shiiiit. Contacted a couple of guys with beavertails - £80 to move it 25 miles seems taking the p1ss a little! CAN ANYONE HELP! |

Think I best check the Mk1 over, give it a wash over [or at least clean the windows so I can see through them!!! ;D ], & maybe put the battery on charge as it's been sat there since before xmas & back to work tomorrow |

Between now and Thursday (bloody holidays have flew in, haven't they? ) I want to have all the bits I need for the Imp in the one place, just now everything's still spread across the new garage we put up outside my house, the council lockup I'd been renting out for a few years now, and a worrying amount in and around my house!  Although I'd rather not drive over to the lockup where all my rollcage, spare engine, fibreglass bonnet etc is just now since I had a little too much to drink last night, not going to take the chance. Also been tinkering about with the carbs as the bloody Stromberg CD125s don't seem to be in tune again. I really do need to get my other engine though, then I can set about the one I have in just now and put a new head on it (the old one has some valve problems at the number two cylinder) and while I'm at it build it into a 998, but that'll have to wait till I get the time, I can't imagine an engine rebuild being possible between now and Thurday morning!  |
