Hello folks. Is there a thread here with advice for car enthusiasts visiting Japan? My wife is keen on pottery and I love Japanese cars, but neither of us know where to start with planning sights to see and places to go. Any tips you have would be much appreciated. We plan to visit for a fortnight in April and also visit my cousin in Okayama. Thanks in advance!

I just came back from Japan, but haven't had the time or energy to sit down and write the story and sift through the hundreds of photos i made.
I can vote for visiting DaikokufutÅ when you're in Tokyo (trying to visit on a Friday or Saturday evening, get there early, as their police will clear it out around 20:30/21:00).
In the Nagoya area, i found both of the Toyota museums very interesting. The Commemorative museum in Nagoya shows the technical side and the automobile museum is more ofna traditional car museum. Both csn be done in a morning, they're not every big. I wouldn't go there specifically fir that, bit if you're in the area, they're very nice! Also can get the famous curry from the museum cafe.
