Hi all, has anyone modded one of these? Lowered, wheels, paint etc The Auto Sleeper ones look appealing in td guise. I personally think they look quite awesome and very sensibly priced.
Thanks for any info

I think Autosleepers came with a deeper front bumper, which is a bit naff in cream, but would help lower the front end visually if used with a better colour. They are pretty much rock bottom now price wise I imagine, and getting a bit old/rusty for 'normal' motorhome users.

Yes tin worm I understand is an issue, but are replacement panels available? The Express models are the ones I'm looking at either Talbot, Fiat, Citroen. How good...or bad are the interiors? Also I really do like the 1300p model

Did Strathpuffer about ten years ago in one of these. It was properly comfortable, tardis like yet reasonably compact in terms of its footprint. Engine from a 205 1.9 IIRC, but obviously nowhere near as quick. It got used by our 'group' for various mountain biking activities, then got retired due to rust like they all do. It's still on my mate's parents' driveway, I think. It's annoying, as the repairs would be easy were it not for the way the camper body is constructed. An equivalent T3 would have the time and/or money spent on it to do the job right. These are worth 7⅓ pence on a good day, so nobody bothers.

They do seem to be very cheap, as you say due to rust issues....I am totally sick of seeing T4s+5s, totally overpriced for what you get, fancy respray, lowered alloys just like the last one I saw! I prefer something more leftfield and more motorhome than cramper

There was someone on here years ago who put a Saab turbo running gear in to one.

Plenty of panels available for them. I do qiute a lot of campervan/motorhome welding repairs. These and the later Relay/dispatch/ducato's are the most popular. If you type is Talbot Express panel in to ebay they'll be more than you'd think. Coastal Motorhomes and customcampers are where I normally order mine from.
To be fair they are dirt cheap if they need welding, but a good solid repaired one will fetch good money.

Just wondering if anyone out there has done an 'off grid/swamper' conversion with lift kit and off road wheels and tyres? I'm just sick of seeing the VW range of same old type campers! Always fancied a Talbot Sunbeam Motorsport inspired camper 🤔
