Up for sale is my Audi A4 B5 2.8 30v v6 quattro. House move and imminent child 'encourages' sale. I wrote this ad prior to moving, but couldn't hit post. Needs must though - will consider swap (with cash either way) for practical pick-up / estate with towbar
• 158k miles (largely motorway by myself and previous owner). Will go up slightly as still in occasional use
• Some service history including original manuals etc, has clearly been looked after throughout its past
• Great fun yet practical and comfortable
• Manual 5 speed 2.8L 30v quattro
- Advised that clutch replaced around a year ago (bear in mind it was off the road for a 6month spell since then) , but sadly no proof. I've no reason to believe this isn't true though
- Spare, brand new and packaged flywheel included (previous owner had a spare and had no use for it when selling to me)
- There is a blow from exhaust, probably from where I replaced offside downpipe/cat section on driveway but passed MOT as is. Rest of system could do with a once-over in future. Spare, brand new and packaged nearside downpipe/cat section included
- On occasion can 'hunt and miss' when idling in traffic but this has happened less frequently the more I've driven it (when bought had been parked up for six months)
• Bodywork is surprisingly solid for age and was a major reason in buying it, though a few paintwork imperfections
- Sadly however, just before I moved house from street parking to driveway, someone reversed into it - picture included
• Interior is in great shape
- All original including floor mats, radio and 6-CD changer in boot
- LCD display in dash replaced earlier this year, but an intermittent display. Given that the speedo has recently stopped working, I assume this is a plug issue rather than anything more severe
- Spare wheel and toolkit etc all present
When purchased I put it through an MOT to see what it needed, and a few weeks later put it through again having completed the necessary work with only a handful of advisories which I've started to work through since. Current MOT is through to late September 2023
In my ownership I've only really used it for motorway journeys, with the occasional trip into town. I had long-term plans to track this, given it's such a solid motor, but sadly I don't have the time to be the custodian it deserves - so hoping it goes to a good home (hence listing only on here)
