No, 95/96/97s are V4. There are two types of 99 engines, depending on model year. For early ones he can perhaps follow briang's suggestion, later ones are the same as classic 900 8V engines (not sure if they use different shims). If he has a shim but needs a thinner one, he can just sand the current one down. Glue a piece of wet and dry sandpaper onto something flat and off you go. Malbrad Saab in Huddersfield, Jamsaab in Keynsham (Bristol) or other specialists will also have shims. |
