I have refrained from commenting so far as my head is just spinning with the fun you could have in this turd on wheels Ideas on a power hike has already been poked in the thread so I'm thinking possibly it being a "show" toy dragged about on a little trailer! After watching a few recent episodes of Mighty Car Mods with their single seater Daihatsu, my mind wanders to a uber mini truck conversion, banded wheels and a little drop closer to the tarmac. A bench seat would be nice too too. The resale opportunity in the future will be pretty bleak so why not go nuts with it!
Eventually I calm down, Nick and I push the little guy back into the carport, next to the Rezin Rockit.
It really is small.
In closing, all I can say is that I told a few people, and those who came to see it, like Fil Sparkplug and craigrk both fell for its quirkiness and wanted it based on photos, and after meeting it in person, still wanted it.
More information as it unfolds.
Welcome to the latest madness at Grizz Towers.
It will be recorded and reported on my YouTube channel and probably on the blog, once I figure it all out.
well what can I say that everyone else hasn't already said ?
nothing much really other than well done
enjoy the build
then the blast down the farm track
Blasting will be,relative.
10 inch trailer wheels, plastic car….. potholes, ruts and the rest….. it will be less than pleasant.
Interesting choice of transport, looks like it could be a lot of fun. For the rear window you could use Macrolon uv polycarbonate, it's used a lot for rally car rear and aide windows.
Yup, I am drawn to unloved, unknown, bottom feeders and weirdness, despite loving mainstream stuff, but why buy a Polo and do what the whole VW scene has done 1000 times before. Or kill your pension pot and buy a rotten Ford to join that scene and do the same. Guys like fraudownersclub driving a Lexus powered Sierra do it for me…. But lows, wheels and call it done? Too easy.
Regarding the windows, I was hoping a mate could get me a chunk of perspex, but any of these lightweight, strength type materials will work. And in the mean time, you never know, the glass could be a standard fit in a mass produced vehicle, or a truck side window etc.
Does this fit into some weird category here for licensing/ road tax etc?
It is registered as disabled vehicle right now, but I will have it registered as PLG and remove the hand controls and fit the MX5 pedals from the Rezin Rockit build in its place, that will make it a lot more “normal”
