On my Sunbeam V6 i have made some repairs to the floor pan. I have sealed all seams using sealer but i want to paint the floor before i put any insulation or carpet down.
It does not need to look good and brush application is preferred but it does need to stick and stay.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

For a large area of bare metal a decent 2 pack primer like Lechler 2907, or if you want cheaper HB, could be rollered or brushed on. You need an activator too but it's non iso so you don't need an expensive mask. For smaller areas a decent spray primer would be ok. It depends how high a standard your restoration is really. My car is black anyway so in hidden areas I've used either Bilt Hamber Electrox (good but expensive) or Upol primer, then Aldi straight to metal spray paint on top - dries to a dull shine but has proved very tough. No rust after several years.

Lechler epoxy primer, I think to get best results paint onto bare metal or previously painted surfaces that have been sanded/keyed. Normally apply sewer on top of the primer. As said, non-iso so can be brushed/rollered on.

Ok, thanks for the info.
Floor is currently either old paint, seam sealer or RC900 coated.
I shall have a look at the Lechlar 2907.
It won't be seen but i want it right.
Cheers
