I have always been partial to golden wheels, and in fact anything not silver/black on cars. The sort of thing not seen too often. Admittedly, some stuff can never be unseen, or should never be seen. However….. well executed on many models can work. I suspect braaap will have in his me,ory bank a few to pull in here, as well as some of the other guys who make some effort to share stuff. So show us Retro and older stuff you have owned, seen or saved away. Possibly the loudest NO ! From me. And a recent one from me. High Low Ass

The problem is that some of them are just ugly like the Caddy, or didn't know when to stop like the white Camaro(slightly less wheel) or VW van(a bit less lowering and a bit more wheel).

I'm not a big fan of gold wheels but I have to agree some work and some are just a complete waste of paint ! these were bought new with black centres but my mate decided to go gold and he is just finishing off a few minor details I just love this van

I suspect braaap will have in his me,ory bank a few to pull in here, Sorry, but NO. Following the Modus Operandi I am also not allowed to share my opinion about gold.

Mine. Not particularly retro but it is nearly 18 years old. It’s a jdm model produced for a year to celebrate winning the wrc. Bit different from the usual Impreza blue and gold combo

My old Is300 with TTE wheels. I think black and gold combo works well.

Can't have this thread without the best. They look so plain on normal coloured wheels.

I'm a big fan of gold wheels, think they look great against pretty much any body colour. These are mine on the daily.

The originality-obsessive part of me says no, but it does look good.

I think bronze/gold wheels can look good on any car, it's the wrong shade of gold on the wrong colour car that can make it look a bit iffy at times. I remember seeing a russet brown mini on gold mambas years ago and thought it looked amazing.
