A friend of mine has probably bought 10 cars from them this year, and a motorbike.
2 of the cars have needed fresh engines due to the ringlands going, but almost all have needed the aforementioned issues like consumables doing. One had a suspect HG, but had a very common fault of the breather box/heat exchanger failing (K4 engine in Renaults (the 1.4 and 1.6 16v units).
The Motorbike TBH looked OK, but it has very very quickly become Trigger's broom. It's a 2015 Motorini, which now has new

I bought a car on Copart a few months ago, £1100 final bid, by the time it was at my house, I had them deliver it, £1550 in total,
Be careful on their descriptions, no uncommon for them to be inaccurate, holes drill in fuel tanks to get fuel out,
What I bought was a cat N, but has quite bad structural damage so I don’t think it’s right.
But if you buy at the right price it shouldn’t be too bad, I sold engine box and cats for £1600 so everything else off this car is pocket money to spend on my own project

What a mate and I came to was that, unless the car is 30% of what the retail price is, and the retail price is sub £4k, it's not worth buying from there, as the margins to get a car right are too tight.

Does Co-Part only work if you are in the trade and/or buying volume or does it work as a means of buying an engine or gearbox or whatever for a project?
Eg if you're doing a one-off is it worth it?

its £100 a year to be a member so factor that in to your one off purchase, far better to find someone who already has an account to bid for you. I bought a smashed mx5 just to use engine from, it was cheap but that was like 4 years ago before the fees got so crazy.
