Another period correct mod would be Landrover / Morris Minor Traveller lights frenched into that rear vallance there. I think I could actually go with that. Sort of as per this pic but in the actual valance part. I've seen similar on various Brit Rods back in the day theres also the option of (repro) '59 Cadillac rear lights, I think Moon even do/did them with orange and clear lenses

what about the early all red minor lights Those are neat looking things, and I had thought about those, but I was hoping to have amber signals. That is the only pic I could find of those lights frenched that way. And they are the US spec lenses. The Euro lenses of the same light have amber signals. Edit. Sorry, I replied to a post that was not directed at me. But the extra info might be useful anyway...

With the different angle of the Austin rear fender You need to check, if there is enough space between tyre and fender, but still I guess You would have them mounted quite low in the fender. Is there a regulation how deep down lights are allowed to be? What I have seen used on a beetle many moons ago were Renault 4 rear lights, but turned at 90 degrees.

Why stick with Eighties period correct? Just because it's pink? You can do whatever you want with it.

Repro Porsche 356 rear lights are nice looking, with amber indicators. Though they don't have reflectors.

What are these lights on Puddle Jumper? Jaguar/Daimler? They look very much like Jaguar MK2 ones to me.

I think those could be Mk2 or S type. I think we are on the right track with 60s Jag donor lighting. Excellent suggestions

Hope you'll fit them a bit straighter than they did on the Pop.

You could always go the Pinball Wizard route and stick some Vauxhall Viva lights on the back. Reds, ambers, and reflectors that way.

I already mentioned the Renault R4 rear lights. They look quite similar to the jag ones but should be so much cheaper!
Especially without chrome.
