Would love to keep this, but running low on dry storage....
1982 Mk1 Hilux, rare as hens' teeth, would be surprised if there are any others out there for sale.
Its had a restoration, with cab and tub/ body off.
Chassis has been welded up nicely (fabricated properly- not plated up). its been painted up, no signs of rust and well protected and presented.
Tub and cab have been sprayed up to good standards, rock solid, there will be odd marks or ripples in the panels etc as its a 40 year old work horse not a mantle-piece ornament !
The whole underside and engine bay and load bed have been finished in satin black.
The truck is running a Peugeot 109 TD engine. Starts, runs, drives and stops, but only been driven around the yard, so its un-tested on the road.
Fully refurbished wheels with brand new tyres all round.
The truck has been built up so everything underneath looks good used or new, brakes, shocks fuel lines etc....
The interior is pretty basic, original and un-touched. The bench seat is good, the 2 door cards are not here so need making up or sourcing. The dash needs tidying, tatty carpets, no head lining and dusty.
The engine bay is pretty well finished, but the under side of bonnet could do with painting, the bonnet catch is missing, and the inner wings are covered in dust so would look much more finished with these bits doing.
As said above the engine seems to do what it should do, starts on the first turn of key, but best to check it over etc before using.
To sum it up - Its a very solid, and nicely presented example of an incredibly rare truck, that would be a stunning example with a bit of finishing off.
I am happy to include another Mk1 truck, at extra cost, as a spares/ donor truck if buyer wants it...
Located Hertfordshire.
Delivery available at buyers expense if required.
Truck wont leave my unit until paid for obviously.
Many thanks, Matt
