Just throwing this out there if anyones interested. I don’t want or need to sell it but am still looking to reduce my fleet so am going to advertise it and see what happens. This does mean I’m in no way looking to move it on quickly, so I won’t take less than the asking and no trades.
To answer the first question, it’s £3750.
1995 lada Riva 1500 estate.
11 month MOT. No advisories and it was commented how clean it was and now many new parts were fitted.
40k miles car.
The relatively small amount of welding it’s needed has all been done to restoration standard. Still has original front wings which is rare on one of these, it was zeibarted from new.
The car was off the road for at least 20 years in various barns and sheds til I got hold of it, so has been fully gone through to recommission.
All new brakes and clutch hydraulics.
All new engine service parts.
New alternator.
Weber carb conversion with manual choke and K&N filter.
Full stainless 2” exhaust with cherry bomb- loud!
All suspension stripped, sandblasted, painted semi gloss back and fully Polybushed.
Lowered and new shocks all round.
ATS classics on proper adapters (think they are H&R) with extended studs. Wheels need a refurb really due to laquer peel some kerbing. Decent ns2s all round.
Black interior, Fiat 128 spider steering wheel, super cool russian tonar radio. Wink mirror. Lucite gearknob. Beaded seat covers. All the typical Eastern European retro touches.
Downsides are it could do with a new bonnet as some numpty has cut the inner skin out, it does still work and latch properly though. there some scabs and dents on the bodywork but nothing major or structural, and the parcel shelf is missing. Body Repairs are also still in primer and need blowing in.
It’s on the button and in daily use. Drives nice and has been totally reliable including a 2hr each way trip down to mallory park. It’s not slow either, cruises at 75 happily enough and goes of the clock, allegedly.
