I saw something a few months ago - I think on youtube, maybe a Mathewsons offering but I can't remember - anyway, the oil breather was diverted into the chassis; presumably so that the chassis got a free rust-proofing.
Is this a genius idea? Oily air blowing through the chassis and getting into the nooks and crannies? Or does that oily vapour also include water vapour or something that would do more harm than good?
I've heard over the years that used engine oil is acidic and not good for metal but over the years, parts of my cars that were oily were also like new when cleaned up.
