Sad news I'm afraid. I have just heard that mdh passed away last week after a prolonged battle with cancer. A true petrolhead, he was plotting and planning car projects until the end, only last month he was talking about 3D printing inlet manifolds. I'm sure that his sheer bloody-mindedness is what kept him going for so long, he just refused to give up. A few pictures of the car marques he loved:

Very sad news.
I didn't know him personally, but as with most on this forum, we get used to seeing the regular posters and we almost count them as friends.
Thoughts are with his family.

I'm very sorry to hear that. My thoughts go out to his family and friends. I first met mdh when he offered to come help me (a stranger from the internet, who lived a good hour+ drive away) work on my Lancia several years ago. His enthusiasm and joy at messing with old cars was obvious from the moment we met. In the times we met up since, he was always smiling and positive despite the challenges his health were throwing at him. It's a credit to his strength and force of will, to keep waking up every day and making the best of things. He will be missed.

Mark purchased some Cappo parts from me when I was building the Standard and we were friends ever since
He flat refused to sell me the Cappo project despite me asking him on an almost monthly basis
Rest easy chap

No way, I met mdh about ten years ago when he bought a tool chest from me.
Thoroughly nice chap. He told me story about a broken Porsche 911 he was potentially buying and that little chat got me on to a long journey of looking in to buying a 911.
Rip mate.

Oh this is very sad news indeed! Mark has posted many nice comments, showing a true genuine interest on my threads over the years and always had a lovely friendly vibe about him. I've never met him but like others have said, we don't need to meet entwine on a good forum like this as we all just become friends anyway through our common interests. He was anyways asking me how our cat Kevin was doing and would often ask for more photos of him to be posted This is for you Mark. Rip my friend.
