I have a few like that I thought might be worth a few quid but stuck them on ebay for a £5 and nothing.. collectors must be after fairly specific ones.

Way, way back in June 1990 'Popular Classics' magazine ran a feature on 4 different guys who collected motoring related items - I'm pretty sure that one of them collected spark plugs! Wasn't you, was it?

This could be the start of a new auto jumble interest . 👍 It be like spotting hotwheels in the supermarket lol I could easily get sucked into this. I can quite imagine a little shelf in my kitchen with a handful of unusual plugs mounted in it. What the most unusual one you've got? |

Nicola, my ex, started a pipe collection with one, I now have about 250 smoking pipes on display. (Wish I could sell them and regain my space) I too, am interested in seeing more of the collection and examples. Blurry cat added extra points. While on my road trip, Ray’s widow, Eve gave me a pair of decanters for Dennis, Dennis was blown away by it.  Added to gas gas station display  |

The most unusual one is one of the most boring looking plugs actually, they were made by Champion with a baking company branding, "Bonds Bread"  Early vintage KLG mica plug.  |

Latest arrivals, German Brois 3 part plug.  Firestone plug military for chevrolet trucks and the chaffee tank, I have one still sealed and one as a keyring.   Champion plug stamped with war department broad arrow, one in box as new and a keyring converted unit.  |

Hiya,you can get them for as little as a fiver, right up to 60 or 70 for really rare ones.I get most of mine from ebay, search for vintage or Antique spark plugs. Also search for spa cottage collectable on Google he's got a couple of plugs which are good starters, he has a "Forward" vintage plug for £8.50 posted. Hope this helps. |

niche little collections like this are pretty neat, some really interesting designs of vintage plugs..
I have a a fww myself, not that i deliberately collected them, one "radioactive"* polonium Firestone plug (i have an interest in nuclear test gear and related stuff) and a set of ESSO branded plugs for a ford crossflow iirc which are in their original albeit tatty packaging. will dig them out and get pics if anyone is interested
*it was radioactive when it was produced, but its barely above background after 70 years of decay
