This time last year i bought a 2002 Trafic. I love driving the thing except going around long bends or larger roundabouts the steering wheel wiggles back and forth, which in turn allows the van to move slightly in the road. It’s as if the power steering is turning off and on. Like when on full lock and the wheel pulses.
I have no idea what could be wrong. Anyone else have a clue?

Pretty sure there all like that , but could be wrong .
Owned one & couldn’t stop it from doing that & have driven at least three others that did the same .

I had an ‘08 Vivaro for about 4 years in work and it never did it. But that’s not to say the earlier ones didn’t. There must be some way of stopping it

I ‘think’ it only effects the early version , never experienced it in any later/face lift models I’ve ever driven .
Would be interested to know if you find a fix .

I did read on one forum that it could be seized top mounts but I’ll have to remove the struts to check

If the top mounts are seized or very stiff, get an assistant to go gently from lock to lock(engine running, wheels on the ground) and look at the front struts, you will see the springs wind up a bit then the top will bang around until the spring winds up enough to do it again.
Even dry/stiff/knackered arb drop link thingies can lead to notchy steering.
My old pickup goes wierd like you describe when the belt to the pump is loose and/or I have just driven through a big puddle.

My 2003 Trafic does exactly the same thing...been through a couple of MOTs like that and never came up. I just live with it tbh.
