Following a move at the end of last year, I found myself with a garage full of pallets, and no space to move.
I also became lumbered with a gravel drive, in contrast to the concrete drive of my previous house, meaning pallet trucks were useless.
To sort these problems, I bought se pallet racking, and an off-road pallet truck, which later turned out to have a buckled wheel, and a replacement was going to be more than half what I paid for it.

To solve the second issue, I sourced some morris minor hubs and some 12" mini wheels and turned the original hubs down as a spacer.

Sounds like you've got it covered
You could always advertise some stuff and have someone come and take it away!

,In the intervening months since starting this thread, I've still not cleared the drive or tidied the garage enough to move in...
I have, however, commenced the extension...
Dez and I fetched a concrete sectional garage in November, and threw some of the panels up a few weeks ago.
Next I had to extend the slab to gain maximum space, so I dug a hole, and found a screwdriver

So tonight I've filled the shuttering with rubble, ready for concrete tomorrow morning. Next weekend I plan to add the last 2 garage panels, and make some roof trusses up...

I think flutterfeatures is on to something here because it sounds like you're trying to tidy things up by adding more things to your garage. Gotta unload some stuff eventually if you want more space, at least that's how it works for me.

I think flutterfeatures is on to something here because it sounds like you're trying to tidy things up by adding more things to your garage. Gotta unload some stuff eventually if you want more space, at least that's how it works for me. You're probably both right, there is stuff I know I don't need/want long term. A lot of that is buried under useful "stuff" which I'm using up tidying the garage. Part of the issue is when we moved house, I ran out of time to pack, so my "logical packing" plan went out of the window and shed stuff got mixed with garage stuff and parts, then my temporary storage suddenly got unexpectedly more temporary, when the guy let it to someone else a few months earlier than agreed, so everything got dumped in the worst place, with no space to empty boxes without building a pile and having to move previous piles. The plan with the extension is half will be a toolroom and the half that will eventually be the woodworkshop will be that "sorting space". I also unexpectedly gained an inspection pit which although potentially very useful, is always in the way at present with no cover. A lot of the large stuff on the drive will go to making this usable and safe, but I also can't currently get to it because I piled the larger bits to sell in it. In terms of progress: tonight u got rid of more of the aforementioned stuff by slabbing the chicken coop with some of the leftover garage panels. This has got some much needed brownie points from the wife, and some space (which is in the wrong place)

Yesterday I got the final 2 concrete panels up, the other 2 walls will be breeze block interior and reclaimed brick exterior, which should make a fair bit of room back. Before that though I need to make some roof trusses, which will also include a comically oversized box gutter...

Looking good mate, if you can get a decent verhang on the roof, it'll help with keeping the inside dry. I'm a concrete sectional owner too.

There has been progress: I built a gable end truss, then Dez came and helped lift it into place. Next I started assembling a box gutter where the two buildings meet. Then today I started a new job, closer to home with less hours: what did I do with all this new found time? I had a tidy up, which had made it look a lot closer to "done"

Over the last few months, I've emptied the rubble outside into a rough foundation for a path/patio. Put some pallet racking up, painted the breeze block walls, and insulated and ply lined the sectional panels in the tool room
I've also fitted some of the filing cabinets in and they line up perfect.
I also moved the kit car into the workshop half of the extension.
Next up: fit some lights and power in the toolroom, build a lathe bench and empty the pallet of bulky tools from when I moved onto the racking.
Then I'll empty the other side and insulate and board that.

Right so 9 months later, I've made a little progress.
I still can't see the floor though...
There's been more painting, I've added some led lights, built a lathe bench, repaired and added to the toolbox.
And started building some shadowboards.
My next priorities are to start putting tools away, and get the new mg inside.

S So, after much shunting of things, seemingly in circles and a quick scrap run, this happened. Still a sizeable pile of bits to sort, but this is the closest to progress I've been for a while. Naturally my vans power steering pipe exploded last night, so progress will have to wait. Again.

So today's continued effort to tidy up the saw me returning to the outside racking I threw up when I first moved in to hide a hideous breezeblock wall and/or stash loads of "stuff". I'd put a tiled roof of with a treated timber barge board, that I'd always planned to clad in some galvanised flashings I'd bought off marketplace, but never got round to. I trimmed an offcut to slot round the gutter first then trimmed the next piece to the right hieght. Then popped a few clout nails in to hold it. Got halfway through and was disturbed by the evri person delivering bits to fix the van.
