Not sure if this in the right forum, apologies if its not
So have bought a truck from the USA, its currently en route to UK (or will be shortly) it needs a few smaller panels etc, which are unheard of over here, i have found some of the parts i need in the USA, and I am currently working out prices etc with the seller, but need to sort out shipping.
now for smaller parts this wouldn't be a issue, as have numerous options, but as the parts are larger (header tank, grill, air filter housing, and some other bits) i will need to find a courier of some sort that can handle larger parts.
Has anyone shipped stuff like this from the US before? or has any pointers on how to do it or companies/individuals that are likely to be able to help
*obv the ideal situation would be the seller works it out then bills me, but I'm not sure he's interested in doing that, and i don't entirely blame them, they seem happy enough to package stuff up though.

Any chance you could find someone else shipping a car over and get the panels put inside? Probably the best way to ensure they are undamaged.

there are a few people active on American car groups on facebook who bring containers over regularly. I've used one in particular wiht good success, mainly because he's local to me so I don't have to sort out shipping this side too.

My personal experience is that anything which looks like it may be of value can disappear that way unless its someone you actually know and trust handling 100% of the process. And your stuff is uninsured when someone steals it.

Theres a few folk who do this and its about the only reliable way to do so. I can recommend Dave Mawer but I hear good things about Viscount Vince and Russ Pepper.
