Part I in a series of threads I'll be chucking up on here periodically. The Photobucket Armageddon prompted me to download the contents of mine a few years ago. It was initially cool pics posted on RR and elsewhere 2005-2014ish but I've added to it a little since to use on my FB car page but as that page evolved the pics really haven't got a home now. Still most definitely RR fodder. I'll not spam the board so I'll do one thread a month as I have 18 folders some with 30ish images, others with 400+ sorted into marque or brand specfic threads (i.e Ford, Vauxhall, Volvo, Italy, Korea) The first post in each thread will link back to previous parts for easy activeness. So without further ado, apologies for being mostly pea-roasts but RR has changed a lot since and may be fresh to some eyes and worthy of new/old discussion. Part I - THAT Aixam.

I remember this well. My better half had one for a while, so can appreciate more than most how much work went into it. What happened to it in the end?

I have had a weird desire (many really!) to own one of those Aixam's although I know jack about them. The obvious to me bike engine conversion would be on the list but look forward to more info on your build!

Goodness. I'd forgotten about that! The .gov website says it ran out of MOT in 2011 (which made me feel old) and it's now on Sorn.

What happened to it in the end? Believe it ended up with Elo at the London Motor Museum ... so is probably rotting behind a warehouse now.

I should have mentioned none of the images are mine, many are current and former RR forumites.

Talking about this at with my Mrs last week funnily enough. Only ever saw it once at Prescott. Loved it. First car I ever saw utilising the net curtain trick.

Spray paint and net curtains. Look at the windows. Oh yeh hadn’t noticed them. Not something I’ve ever seen (& to perfectly honest, wouldn’t bother me if I didn’t see it again) looks a bit naff to me, but hey, whatever floats ya boat & all that. Can’t imagine it’s very practical on the front windows, or indeed legal (maybe)

Lace paint is great I’d agree, fishnets is another one, popular on custom paint motorcycles, I guess as the panels, tank etc are small enough for it to work easily

So that’s why he went to town on it, because he didn’t have to worry about driving it.

From what I can recall he just used parts he had lying about. It was just put together for the RR gathering that year.
