Hello
Rover v8 fitted with a holley 4 barrel.
I'm having a right nightmare with fuel pressure! so i bought a brand new filter king and straight away i couldn't get anymore pressure, than what is seen in the picture and that is with the adjustment screw all the way in.
So naturally i believed it was the fuel pump, so i removed the old facet fuel pump rated 5 - 7PSI and bought a new one which was the same rating, but when i removed the new one out of the box, fluid had ran out of the pump? almost like thin oil of some sort.. but anyway, i fitted the new pump and it's still the bloody same with the pressure! can anyone give me an idea on what the problem may be? i've checked my fuel hoses and they're not squashed at all on any bends.
One thing i noticed though, was the fuel bowl doesn't fill to the top, which i'm sure that is the norm isn't it? while watching the fuel bowl, i can see fuel running down the side of the glass (internally) not spraying just running.
The ends from the pump and into the filter king are 8mm, but my copper fuel line between them two are 6mm (previous owner fitted for certain reasons), but i wouldn't imagine that would cause such low pressure. I disconnected the both ends of the copper line and i blew down the copper pipe and it's not blocked.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
