Photobucket is playing silly.
I may have the opportunity to buy a Mazda 323F Executive, 1800cc manual with 57k miles on the clock.
Not been MOT tested or on the road since 2008 and yes, that is right.
Last three years of its recorded history it did 2500 miles a year.
Looks like it has always been garaged.
So the question is, as always, despite being a Mazda etc……
Do these have major pitfalls or reasons to steer clear?
Photos of actual car when they have loaded.

Photobucket is playing silly. Can’t remember a time when they didn’t.. Is it the V6? 1.8 Manual. Seller replies seem a bit…… My question. Hi Jeanette, Not sure how many messages you have had regarding the car. Could I ask if it has been garage in the intervening years? Also, you say it starts, has someone tested it just down the road and back? Your ad states easy project, what would you envisage it needing doing? Thank you. Rian Seller reply: Hi it did have a short run, we don’t know what’s Needed to be done, but will need checking. Hasn’t been garage only on Drive,Didn’t say easy project . Do have someone coming this afternoon. My reply. Perfect. Thank you. I am the optimistic type. It lookd great cleaned up. Why was it out of use for so long? Seller reply Just didn’t need it. My reply PS. Project for the right person 😉 I am an optimistic type. Thank you. I think maybe a walk away from this £650 bargain makes more sense.

They don't seem overly keen to sell it really... Japanese tin sat outside for 4 years, I'd walk away.

80's and 90's Mazda = rust +1. I had a 1.5 '98, overall a great car. The only problem I recall was rust. This only came to light when I needed to have the windscreen replaced, rust behind the seal. Otherwise couldn't fault the car.

80's and 90's Mazda = rust Newer ones aren't much better. It was always a tossup which would kill a Mazda six, engine failure or rot. Sounds like a £150 spare engine for the Rockit with a free car to drive it home in.

The 6 was let down (like many Fords of the same era) by the stupid carpet wheel arch liners, moisture and dirt locked against the bodywork. I had a 6 and used to wash them religiously every week.

Bulletproof mechanicals, metal that liked to vaporise. Purely depends on how crusty it is really. The last Mazda I had was really solid... except for the lower edge of one rear 1/4 and ALL the way around the windscreen!!
