Is the floor-hinged accellerator pedal set up any good? not that it makes any difference... Nice big organ loud-pedal is always good. Beware though that the pedal can snap at the upper and lower plastic 'hinges'... if this happens prepare yourself for a proper swear-fest removing the remains. Been there, done that.

Beware though, after rolling in a beemer for a while other cars start to feel cheap. You will never be able to go back ;D

Nope, I'm still umming and arring over it. The place is closed on Sundays too!
Ive been looking up values of 316s of this age online. They seem to go from £300 for a tatty mega mile one with problems up to £2000 for a minter with FSH and low miles. After buying it, repairing it and doing a VIC check it would owe me best part of£700 but would show as a previous write off on the log book and as its been though a salvage company all the paperwork is missing, I'm unsure as to how badly that would knock its value. Perhaps Id be better off just buying one thats undamaged... wheres the fun in that though?

Mmmmm....Cragars... There's a part of my brain that says E36 Compacts have E30 rear ends...Is that right? *n not trying to threadjack, but you're almost right it uses the exact same beam, but the trailing arms are wider and the hubs are 5 stud. diff is almost the same, differing by having a slightly different input flange. bolt flange PCD is the same as e30 though, why I don't know..... you can use a compact axle to wide track and 5-stud an e30

Ive decided not to get it, Its a great motor but its the wrong time of year e.t.c, e.t.c plus the Rover is going really well at the minute and when I bought it I made a promise to myself that id keep it until it died (approx 2 years) as I buy and sell too many cars and loose too much money on them. The little mint beemer turned my head though!
If anyones interested its at Car transplants in Winsford, Cheshire and is £500, light rear end damage, light metallic blue, 1 previous owner and prety much mint apart from the rear ender.
Thanks for the offer trg1984 but ill pass this time.
