Need to give a pair of plastic headlights a polish before next TÜV/MOT.
What recommendable stuff is out there that can be used by hand, since I don't have a polishing machine?

Undiluted professional snowfoam seems to remove the yellowing quite well.

It's such a simple job that what you use isn't particularly important.
Any mildly abrasive polish you have to hand will work, especially if you use some 1000grit(or finer) wet and dry paper first. I use Farecla G3 because I have plenty of it.
Headlamps are small enough that I don't find it worthwhile to get the polisher out, and always do them by hand.
It is worth adding a couple of coats of your favourite polish afterwards

Aha, thanks guys.
Yellowing is not the problem with those lights.
The TÜV tester did not like them on car A last test, so I swapped them over from car B.
It was good amount of work because it involved removing the front bumpers (including some screws snapping off) and the space inside the fenders to reach some screws wasn't really generous for adult hands.
So I left it like it was after the swap. And now car B is the first for the new test and still has the failing lights in.
And before I do all the work again, I would like to give some polish a try first.

Hi, just done mine as it failed MOT on the headlights. Used toothpaste to polish them with! Very cheap and worked a treat. Antony
