Whilst doing a load of part replacing on the Chevy, I have decided to smarten up the chassis & under carriage bits as they are looking decidedly UK as in rusty and looking generally ugly. Looking at the Dakota post paul has put up was testament to how many of us may have these less than nice underneaths! Now this fine forum has an abundance of threads on chassis treatments, painting and waxing etc so don't really want to go down the same discussion except to ask you gents whether you may have used Lanoguard at all? It looks to be a fairly decent product and Lanolin protection seems to have been around a while. www.lanoguard.co.uk/products/lanoguard-vehicle-underbody-and-chassis-care-kit

I have used it and am happy with it.
The biggest thing for me is they’re honest about it’s capabilities and staying power. They don’t make it out to be some bull$hit wonder product that lasts forever and never needs touching again. It can be cleaned off, topped up or touched in as needed. I also quite like that it’s a natural product as it means I’m not potentially killing all my grass and other plants when I wash a car in the garden.
Also worth noting that as with anything it’s down to how well you prep and apply it, realistically you need a ramp to make a good job.
I read up on it and all the alternatives before buying, and tbh I couldn’t really see any downsides to it.

I keep seeing the adverts too, now we're getting towards the Summer it might be the time to take the plunge. The truck and the CROWN Vic could use some protection...especially the CV. As a dry state car that's only been in the country 2 years it's lovely under there right now, and I know that could change 😬

I think I will probably take a punt on it and as Dez said, they are not trying to portray themselves as an eternal fix for rust and come across quite credible

I've used this stuff in aerosol form before as a marine engine preservative. It appears to be good quality, however it does smell like sheep (really!)
