Looking to swap my Landy for a Mk3 Cav.
First things first, the Landy was written off (Cat N) in October 2021 - my neighbour backed off his drive at 4AM In the morning and hit my Discovery. Smashed indicator lens and cracked the bumper.
He claimed through his insurance as his car was then, about 6 weeks old! Idiot.
I have since taped up the bumper, I was going to replace it, but to be honest its only going to get smahsed again anyway. The indicator lens has been replaced.
MOT until Feb 2023. Mileage is currently 126880.
Stacks of paperwork with it. 4 Keys.
Comes with Nanocom Diags machine which is £400+ on its own - it is this I have used to program an extra working key thats starts the car and is keyfob.
The other 2 keys exist because I changed the drivers door handle, the original one broke. The replacement one came with a new lock and 2 keys - so I keep the keys around in case the central locking ever stops working or battery dies in the key. There are two keys that start the car.
Not perfect but then it is a 2001 car. Last MOT it had welding done on the inner arches which is common on Disco 2's.
The 4 litre is probably one of the smoothest engines ive ever come across, the car runs like a sewing machine.
ACE has been removed and mapped out of the electrical system, ACE is known to cause issues and catch fire. With the car comes another 4 wheels - tyres are OK but will need replacing, but the wheels on the car are in good nic and decent tread on the tyres.
7 Seater version, all seats present and working.
The Passengers side front and rear door need new lock actuators, this means you need to unlock from the inside (agan, common) I have replaced the drivers side door actuators which are now fully working. I have also replaced the window regulator on passenger front door - this now works.
3rd party Pioneer headunit fitted and speakers replaced in the tailagte door.
I removed the headliner a few months back, and unblocked the sunroof drains to try and cure a leak (they all do this) so far so good, headliner has been painted black and is back in the car.
2 small boxes of spare parts and a full workshop manual.
Car is still on air suspension on all 4 corners.
Why would I like to swap for a MK3 Cav?
First learnt to drive in a MK3 Cav and was first car I ever drove! SO I want to get back into one and have been looking for a while!
Swaps??? Its just easier, I need to be with a car otherwsie I cant get to work and you just know Ill get called to an emergency job and wont have a car (if I was to sell for cash monies).
My time has come though with the Land Rover, I want to get back into an old Vauxhall.
