Hello
My Rev counter in the Wolsely reads way over, does anyone have recommendations of companies that can calibrate them?

Is it a generic one? For a different number of cylinders than your engine perhaps?

It’s a Smiths 80mm Gauge that on idle is reading 2000 ish RPM and spends most of its time around 7K!
I suspect it was originally from a V8 hence the recalibration needed.

If you are using a rev counter designed for a different number of cylinders this can solve the issue www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284440826701 its a rev counter rpm converter. You wire it into the signal wire from coil to rev counter and it adapts the signal from whatever the engine is to match what the the rev counter is expecting.
Its made by a company that i have been buying electric steering column controllers off for years and they make very good stuff.
