Mk1 Uno Turbo IE.
Rare as hens teeth.
1988 Mk1 fiat Uno TURBO I.e.
X2 sets of Keys and full v5 logbook present.
Nice original folder of paperwork and owners books, old MOT certificates etc.
Low owners and low miles. 8 owners and approx 70,000 original miles. Been in dry storage for 20 plus years.
Car looks to be complete. New Headlamp fitted, NOS grille fitted, new indicator unit present (needs fitting) and original set of Turbo badges are included too.
Doesn't look to have ever been welded. Car is rock solid. Very rare to find one of these shells in un-welded original condition.
Interior looks good condition, all very original. Some wear to drivers seat. A good hoover or steam clean would see it looking even better.
Full stainless Scorpion exhaust fitted. Nice modification, and sounds lovely.
Engine has recently undergone a light overhaul, due to it sitting for so long; I have had a local garage go through it and refurbish the injectors, replaced all service parts, fuel, oil and perishables, new battery, new accelerator cable etc, before we started it up. It will start up straight away, idles, runs, drives and stops as it should.
It hasn't been driven in anger, just pottered around the yard, but a good run will probably do it some good to be fair. The brakes do stop the car, but due to it standing, it may be wise to bleed fresh fluid through and put a set of new pads on maybe. And again, I don't know if it will require anything else for an MOT etc.
Body is pretty good shape for its age, its recently had a full re spray in its original shade of metallic dark grey. The best colour for one of these, and a very rare colour to find from original.
The paint/ body is a pretty nice job but not a perfect million pound job at the same time- so do study the photos, you may find imperfections up close etc - or arrange to view as opinions can differ etc. The shell is all solid and has no filler or plates and patches welded anywhere. The car has a spare tin of paint from the original batch of paint that can be included with car for future use or touch ups etc (prob enough paint to spray the whole car twice over!).
The drivers side door card is missing- but I do have a set of mint spare cards that can go with the car (different fabric- however can be re-upholstered in the original fabric).
The current wheels may not be to everyone's taste, but I have a set of original wheels to go with the car, these need refurbishing. They are rare wheels, and would be nice painted, but I was planning to have them diamond cut.
Its clearly a un finished project, but wont take much to finish it off and have it on the road; The main bits I am seeing are; Sagging headlining, needs a new handbrake cable, needs front indicator and one headlamp plugging in, door card fitting, bumpers and bonnet have been fitted but loosely so will want adjusting and lining up, and then anything else needed for MOT.
The car will be a stunning example once on the road- these are rare cars, really cool hot-hatches, and great little investments.
Delivery available at buyers cost, should it be required.
Located Hertfordshire.
Thanks, Matt
