Mk4 Fiesta underpinnings, Zetec SE (or Sigma) engines that like to use a bit of oil, and the sills and rear arches like to rot for fun Guess that is why there isn't many about nowadays, but they are much more fun to drive than the Fiesta they are based on

I’ve been offered the chance to buy one I’m going to view the car tomorrow I’ve been told it’s “mint” My mint is always very different to other peoples ! But my interest has been prodded by the owners description I’ll go have a nose

A good one must be worth a punt. They like to rust. I have a mate who rates them, he actually has 3 and has been using them as his only working transport for years. I always thought they needed bigger wheels and lows.

Well I went off to view the car I’m always sceptical when someone describes a car a as mint But as The owner opened the garage I’d bought it Car is genuine and more or less like new Been under sealed and rustproofed since new It’s a puma thunder ltd edition Nice car and glad to have added it to my ownership

They're a great point to point car. Really good fun and pretty bomb proof.

Nice one!
A good car to own.
Only a few things to bear in mind, as others have said, and you may know.
-They love to rot. -Cambelts are due every 10 years or 100k, whichever comes first. I don't think they are too bad to do in those. -Front lower arms can die for fun. Genuine is the way forward if they are still available from Ford. Otherwise, a Poly bush rebush from someone reputable like SuperPro will do the trick. -Heater valves can seize on them. Pattern ones don't last but Ford ones do last well.

Nice cars too, my mate had one which was a proper laugh. Revvy engines and good handling.

Good buy! Great car to drive and cheap to do anything to. I'd be minded to keep it stock-ish and see what happens with them in a few years time, they might not quite hit the mark like the other Ford stuff but time will tell.

Tbh it’ll be the only car I’ve bought for years that will remain totally stock , it’s far too good to mess with

Looks like you landed a good one there. I bought one last week, I haven’t had chance to drive it much yet but can’t get over how small the mirrors are!
