Hi Folks, I recently purchased my 64 Fiat 600 (Pistachio) from kikolemus forum.retro-rides.org/thread/160385/rear-engined-fiat-projectsIt’s a hotrod (read 850TC) with quite a few upgrades. Although the color isn’t my favorite, I haven’t ruled out keeping it pistachio. It’s got a 903 motor with some non-stock parts. Runs and drives but needs fine tuning and maybe an electronic ignition system? I don’t have a clear goal in mind but will give it some thought in the near future. I’ll probably address the front trunk rot below the spare tire area and in the right rear quarter panel, hammer out the dings and dents and move on from there. I don’t think I’ll flare it as the body is in really nice shape. More to come later. Trying to figure out uploading pics...😁

I like that a lot.
Great color too...
Being a early suicide door car, I agree on not flaring it.
( what shape are your doors, BTW. I may have an extra set...)

Nice 2002 as well. Thx, that was a really fun build. Both doors are in surprisingly good condition. Although one needs a little hammering for dings.

I like that.
And the potential of a parts swapping party always makes life a lot easier.
Color does it for me too.
I like green cars.
BMW is lovely.
Please do show and tell more.
You could edit your title by editing first post to have both in one thread.

Been a while... Just chipping away at various projects on the 600. Hammered out the engine lid, it had a few issues. Decided to rebuild the front suspension and found out I had series-1 850 (up to 1968.5) spindles, brakes, rotors, hubs. I'm swapping in series-2 spindles, rotors, hubs, bearings and modifying for 2007 GSXR Tokico calipers (like Ditchdigger). I also swapped-out the 600D rear brakes and installed rear 850 drum backing plates, linings, drums and new bearings. Bought a neat dual-circuit master cyl and actuator from D'Angelo Motori in Italy. But before I get to replace my front end, I need to rebuild my kingpins. This is turning out to be more difficult then I thought. Many shops just don't install & ream kingpin bushings anymore. But I'll get it done if I must do it myself. I built another set of hood props for kikolemus . Oh, and I bought a set of Mg Cromodora CD3s! Hammers, dollys and a body file go a long way towards eliminating body filler. I just used the 600D backing plates as a template to ream out the offending overlap of the 850 plates to be able to mount them on the 600D rear hubs and keep everything lined up for the drum. Black epoxy primer... Ahhhh, nice and fresh. 2007 Suzuki GSXR 600 Tokico calipers... had to do some shaving (not shown) on the wheel-side of the calipers to clear my CD3s. Still need to machine the reliefs in the spacers for the rubber seals between the halves of the calipers grinding off the lip so the 10.5 mm thick rotor has plenty of room An engineering friend told me that using coupling nuts to mount the calipers was not the safest idea as it can be subjected to caliper deflection and possibly fail. So I looked at ditchdigger 's setup and decided to have larger, shouldered steel mounts drilled and tapped for M10x1.5 thread. I'll weld them on and it should be a lot more sturdy. Luckily, I have a second set og front splash panels to weld on. (ditchdigger's setup) That's an 850 dual circuit master cylinder, should provide increased safety and performance. 600D rear hub rejuvenation. Used the hacksaw method of scoring the bushing sleeve and then punched it clear enough to remove with pliers. Crunchy dry bushings from the early 70s! Old series-1 850 spindles, just taking note of the spacers location for assembly of the new spindles. 13x5 Mg Cromodora CD3s

Looks really interesting and good to see some progress
It might be just me but I'd not be happy with the front brake caliper mounts at all - it looks sketchy compared to a machined mount from the hub/spindle assembly.
