Mercedes 190e 2.6 manual project car that needs finishing
The car started life as a 2.0 auto that was my daily for about 4 years and the car drove faultless, I got offered a 2.6 engine and manual box with running gear which I purchased and the project begun. I got the car to a certain point where it started run and drove then life got busy and it was parked up, 4 years later I’ve lost my storage unit which has regrettably forced the sale of my beloved 190e.
Lets start of with the GOOD bits
*shell seems pretty rust free round the arches and under the car seem solid
*almost every rubber bush, joint or bearing was replaced when i was building the car
*staggered 17 inch oz future wheels with toyo tyres (cost about £1600)
*brand new h&r lowering springs and dampers (cost over £500)
*16v body kit
*brand new sparco front bucket seats
*2.6 straight 6 engine with manual gearbox which is quite rare i believe
*chrome and wood omp steering wheel (cost £250)
Now for the BAD bits
*Clutch pedal goes straight to the floor (maybe needs bleeding)
*Oil gauge doesn’t work on the speedo cluster (possible dry joint behind the speedo)
*Front tyres rub on the arches (arches need rolling/different size front tyres)
*The cars 32 years old so it will have marks, scratches and imperfections but is exactly as pictured.
*Front bumper is cracked and will need repainting and I’m sure there is a couple of other bits that would benefit from some paint (all depends what you want it to look like)
Ive tried to be as honest as possible but the car has been stored for the last 4 years so i may have missed a few bits. The pictures below are the car in its current condition, The car is based in dartford, kent. You will need to collect either with a recovery truck or trailer but please be prepared for how low the car is.
I would be willing to remove the wheels and sell these separately and lower the price
Please no silly offers as i know what i can break this car for which would seem a shame when with a bit of tlc this could be on the road and a loved classic
