	Ho, I need to raise my fiat 850t by about 50cm so i can start on the underside. I want to leave in on it's wheels though as there isn't much chassis to stand it on. I'll only be doing this once but it will probably be up in the air for several months. I don't have 3ph or the space for a post lift etc. Once up it won't be moving until it comes down again. Any suggestions on products or methods for safety gaining this height?

	Seeing as it's a small car how about borrowing 4 commercial axle stands as they are quite a bit taller?

	Not sure about 50cm (seems quite high), but if the wheels are staying on we use wooden blocks.

	This is what I've used when working on my SIMCAs. It started life as the base mechanism from a vet's operating table that a mate of mine got to make a table to work on his motorbikes. He never did anything with it so it came to me. Hydraulics are powerful (must have been the 'elephant' model in the vet's catalogue..!!)... does its job spot on, have made extended axle stands to be sure once up in the air.

	Bricks are a terrible idea They split so easily Large blocks of wood or the wheels that you’ve used in the top pics , still not the best but better than blocks or bricks
