Ours for six years, selling as my wife needs something squishy to float around in, hence I've acquired a late model mgb.
Cheap on fuel and an ideal starter classic ready to use and improve.

55,200 miles on the Shell, this will rise as we use most days for local journeys. Inner and outer sills plus A panels replaced in 2020.
Unfitted carbon rear valance included in sale as it needs replacing, light corrosion under rear offside window. Closing panels in the upper front arches are holed with resultant light rust on wings. N/s door inner bottom holed (rust drilled out and Bilt Hamber zinc primer and cavity wax applied.
Paint needs a refresh, we had a litre of scanned and mixed in zircon blue metallic to match the 36 year old aged original hue. We always get compliments on the colour.
Cream vinyl reclining seats installed which need a recolour. Door panels don't match they are navy, however it hangs together well.
Engine is an 850cc which runs well with the addition of a stage one kit and centre exit mk1 sprite single box. Does use a bit of oil but no smoke. I've replaced the head which has been skimmed and fitted using a Victor reinz Head gasket.
The original 998 was playing up hence the swap to the 850 which was meant to be temporary, however after fitting a replacement head it has ran well albeit with a bit of crankcase blowby. Oil pressure 60lbs cold.
I will include a stripped Austin ad016 1098 engine and gearbox which lacks the diff and diff cover.
Silver kyb gas adjust shocks all round with red dot cones and hilos up front.
Any questions don't hesitate, professional inspection welcome. Oswestry (North shropshire/mid Wales border area)
Tired of time wasters on Facebook so I'm offering on this forum only for now.
Please read notes below, thanks!
I somehow managed to post this previously in the pre '85 section 🤔.. We did agree a sale however the buyer decided he needed it transported to Scotland (unseen) and wanted to pay AFTER delivery. This didn't sit well with us so we cancelled the sale.
So a few ground rules please, please view and pay before driving away. The price stated is firm, the mot expires on 29th May so we do have an mot booked for 29th April - we will subsequently add on any costs incurred to the sale price, not that there's anything to fix apart from the headlamp flasher not working!
Flew the last mot with no advisories, since then we've done over 4000 miles with muck in the carb being the only problem that reared its head. Cleaned now and running well 👍
