Towrite Electric ambulance
Sold to RR member
Total height 280cm . Cab has sliding doors. Box has a side door and a folding ramp at the rear a bit like a horsebox ramp.
Internal measurements of rear box
310cm long
180cm wide
202cm tall
The box could be removed , leaving an enclosed cab with rear windows. The truck is 48v and has an electronic controller. It has a 48 - 12v converter to run the lights etc. It has a diesel tank with external filler fitted because it used to have a Webasto cabin heater under the cab seats, it should be pretty straightforward to fit a replacement one in its place. Condition: It is sound but tatty , it requires some fibreglass repairs to front of cab, Some of the glass is cracked (Standard plant glass) . The vehicle does not come with any batteries but I have tried connecting 4 car batteries up to it and it runs drives and stops. The axles/wheels/brakes are LDV Pilot with 185R14C tyres and has disc brakes, easy to get replacement bits for. PM me if interested in this project. Could make good snack van, or advertising van especially as tax exempt , ULEZ compliant and potentially MOT exempt so could stay in one place and wouldn't even need to run. I am in Sussex RH19
If you insured it there's no reason why you couldn't leave it in your road indefinitely and use it as a shed, electric commercial vehicles pre 2015 are exempt from MOT.
