Mr I-Robot :- do u feel that way because of your involvement with the mini scene and the people, or the actual car itself? I thinik it's a combination of all of those really. My Mini Club (hope no-one from TVMC reads this) just got so boring. The shows were all the same year in year out, same cars at all the shows etc. There's probably only a handfull of times I've seen completely unusal and interesting Mini's. Really like this btw

I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people I don't like.

I've come to the conclusion after many years of ownership of both Imps & Minis (standard & modified) that they are both great cars in their own ways. Both have their up sides and both have their down sides. But at the end of the day, I can only find pics of my Imps in my photo collection!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'd love an Imp, they're cool. I nearly bought a yellow one a few years ago, but I bought my GT instead, it looked more solid.
Boy was I wrong ;D

I want this......... I haven't logged on for a while so just picked up this thread. I like minis and minisprints a lot but that one is "pig ugly" with that bonnet bulge and the stupidly large wheels! I've got a real hankering after an imp, but my girlfriend won't let me buy any more cars! S

Yeah ok, it'd look better on 10s with no wheel arch extensions but i could live with the bonnet if it was the only way to get the twin cam head on

The roof chop makes the wheels look too big as well, don't you think, it's all about proportion. Reminds me of the time a mate of mine, (who was a bit of a chav but we used to mess about with his uncle's cool old Cortina! ) tried to get me to put 17" Superlight style wheels on an Imp I had! ;D ;D ;D Eventually he realised that they weren't going to go under the arches!

That Mini Sprint is gorgeous, and I like the oversized wheels - it looks like a Tonka Toy (remember them?) ;D I've just found this pic of my old blue 67 Mk1 Mini and my Imp Californian together. I know where the Imp is now (in storage awaiting resto) but does anyone recognise the Mini? It was a lovely wet-framed 850 with period Dunlop alloys. I sold it to a chap who was going to restore the bodywork a little... Cheers Tim

Just cos something is good for you doesn't mean its good for everyone - for example Marmite does not make good Dog Food.
