I've been offered this beemer by a mate. It's been sat for 6 years in his dad's garden, out of site, out of mind... His dad regularly starts it does oil changes & cleans up the brakes. Has exactly 100,000 miles on clock. Starts on the button & sounds great. I don't know what it's worth in this condition or even what to do with it but I'm really tempted just to strip it for track fun. Any ideas on values & if it's a good track base car?

Nice, good spec (big engine, manual) e46 coupes are creeping up in value - with the issues sorted and back on the road I would expect that hits £2k+ E.g. Recently soldProbably worth about £900-1200 as is? Would be a shame to strip that, plenty of scruffier ones to do that to

I’d say around a bag of sand .. bare in mind the cats (if genuine may I add ) are worth probably more than half of the valuation there if not more depending time of year !
Worth buying and cleaning up for sure .

I have a diesel one here
Mapped and all mods suppprting the power, its achieving...200bhp+
It's ideal for track
Manual and runs sweet
If you want best advice.. For track use..this mate of yours dads car is to good to play about with. Keep it original and sell it out. Re-coup the money and buy a cheap drifter.. Maybe like what I have.
