Well that's it. The Speedster is sold and paid for so this chapter is closed. A wonderful car and I'd recommend one to anyone. I had a great 4.5 years with it.
I'll keep this thread going with the 86 as I'll continue to make some tweaks to it.
I have not mentioned it for a while but I was still using my 2.5 Subaru Legacy while in Ireland. The Christmas visit was it's last as a road vehicle as it's finally been called for it's test here in Switzerland and I've no intention of answering that call so it's been deregistered.
I should dispose of it but I might just add some proper offroad tyres to it and convert the rear to a flat floor so it can be used as a farm vehicle for my dad.
The Rally Starlet is also still kind of for sale but I've not been advertising that too hard.

Parts distribution at the moment. I had a free 90 mins in my day so popped out to collect a spare Speedster gearbox I had stored elsewhere as it's joining me on a trip to Nyon (just outside Geneva) tomorrow where I'm handing it over to Taam who's got a really cool supercharged Speedster.
On my way back I also collected my new used Milltek exhaust for the GR86 from Hans. He is selling his 86 in order to complete a deal for a R34 Skyline. It was only on his car for about 9 months and maximum 5000 kms so I'm happy to get that.
It turns out I asked one of the other 86 owners to add some Tein 20/20 lowering springs for me when he was putting in a big order from Blackhawk Racing in Japan. I need to collect those next week as well.
Bits in, bits out.

So the snowboard and ski gear have now been packed away: While I was doing that tidying away it was time to look through the parts I've been gathering over the winter. The Milltek has come out of storage and the first step will be to remove the bluing from the Titanium tips. I like the OEM+ look and this is too in your face for me.

I believe it's relatively easy. Just need to get a particular polish and it should come off. This in fact:

The kids are on holidays for 2 weeks and we're off to Ireland during the break. I've taken the opportunity to leave the 86 into the garage while I'm away to swap onto the summer tires but also they are refurbishing my wheels free of charge as the lacquer lifted after the previous work. My friend Yuu has kindly organized some time for me to use his lift so the 2024 tweaks will be completed on May 5th. Three things ready to go. Firstly, some Tein -20 springs. I'm a little worried about these as I've heard the car is very sensitive to geo changes. Easy enough to reverse in any case so I'll try them out. Then I have been researching intakes for way too long. The big problem seems to be that they almost exclusively result in a loss of power. I think I've found a solution that gives me more sound without power loss. These are replicas of the 86 Cup car intakes. I have 7 as we did a group buy here. Last thing up is the exhaust. A lot of elbow grease and sweat yesterday resulted in this. Much better than the blue in my opinion.
